Schroders Brings On Macro Portfolio Manager

The UK-listed investment and wealth manager has added to its fixed income global multi-sector team.

Schroders has hired James Lindsay-Fynn as a portfolio manager focusing on rates and currencies.

Lindsay-Fynn joins from Rogge Global Partners where he was partner and global macro portfolio manager specialising in interest rates and currencies for global portfolios. During his six years at Rogge, he co-managed fixed income total return, global aggregate and government strategies. He previously held roles at GAM, Evolution Securities (part of the Investec group) and Bank of America Securities.

As part of the firm's global multi-sector team in London, which includes six fund managers, Lindsay-Fynn will report to senior portfolio manager Paul Grainger.

“James has extensive investment experience and will further strengthen our investment proposition with his background of independent analysis and idea generation. James’ significant experience in the macro space will allow us to continue to grow this successful part of our business further,” said Philippe Lespinard, co-head of fixed income at Schroders.

Schroders managed £313.5 billion ($462.1 billion) in assets as of the end of 2015 on behalf of clients such as banks, governments, charities, high net worth individuals and retail investors. This week, the firm announced it was acquiring a 25 per cent stake in Dutch direct lending firm NEOS Business Finance.
