Sarasin Unveils New Planned Premises In Zurich

Bank Sarasin has unveiled plans to relocate to new premises in Zurich in the spring of 2014 in a move to centralise the 350 employees working for this branch.
The bank hopes that by moving to the yet-to-be-built premises, called the Rosau Office Building, it can raise its profile in Zurich’s financial centre and further its expansion plans. The bank also highlighted the energy-efficient credentials of the new building, which will be situated in the Zurich Enge district.
In other expansionary moves in its home market, in December the bank confirmed that it is to open a new branch in the Swiss canton of Lucerne in the summer of this year. The Lucerne branch will be headed up by Markus Koch, newly-recruited from UBS, where he was senior vice-president and head of the central Switzerland region.
Sarasin also has ambitious expansion plans outside the Swiss market, both in Europe and further afield: November saw the formation of the bank’s new wealth management solutions team in Singapore; meanwhile, back in Europe, it has outlined plans for its German subsidiary to expand from three branches to six as it grows both its private banking and institutional banking businesses in the country.
