Sandaire Brings In New Talent For Risk, Compliance

The UK multi-family office is eyeing growth and opportunity with its second key leadership hire this year.

Sandaire, the multi-family office operating in the UK and Asia, has appointed Marc Cane as the new head of risk and compliance. Cane joins from WH Ireland wealth management, where he was head of compliance and money laundering reporting officer.

The sector veteran has had a number of senior posts, including eight years at the creative investment group Ingenious Media and three years at Permal.

Joining one of the UK’s largest multi-family offices, with offices in Singapore and UK, Cane acknowledged navigating an “increasingly strict regulatory environment” and having rigorous measures in place to bring peace of mind to clients.

He is Sandaire’s second important hire in the last year, following the appointment last December of Andy Mattocks who stepped into a newly-created role as head of corporate development. Mattocks comes with another strong pedigree, with 30 years in private banking and wealth management behind him at Duncan Lawrie Private Bank, Arbuthnot Latham, and Coutts, and with broader wealth management experience gained from spells at NatWest and RBS. The group said he is already having an “impact” creating a business strategy and driving future growth.
