Sand Aire, the London-based multi-family office, has sold its private equity business to Dunedin Capital Partners, the Edinburgh-based venture capitalist group. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sand Aire management said the firm has decided to focus on their private client advisory business. The takeover gives Dunedin control of a nine-year-old firm that specialises in investing in family-owned businesses, with funds of around £70 million ($128.4 million) at its disposal. Sand Aire has invested in a range of mid-sized firms and this week provided £5 million funding for the £15 million buy-out of CET Group, which advises insurers on building subsidence claims.
