SEI Launches Three Canadian-Focused Portfolios

Pennsylvania-based asset manager SEI is expanding its offering to Canadian advisors and their clients with the launch of Canadian-focused portfolios.

The two portfolios will invest primarily in Canadian stocks and bonds with limited foreign investment.

“The portfolios offer investors the benefits of diversification within an economy that is poised for growth. Canada is forecasted by the International Monetary Fund to have a higher growth rate than many other developed economies as the global recovery takes hold,” Janesse McPhillips, managing director of SEI Private Banking, said.

The balanced portfolio aims for a balance between long-term capital growth and current income, and is designed for investors with a mid-term investment time horizon of at least five years who want to limit their foreign security exposure.

The growth portfolio is aiming at long-term capital appreciation with a small level of current income. It is designed for more aggressive investors with an intermediate time horizon of at least five to 10 years who want to limit their foreign security exposure.
