SEI Appointment Designed To Push Further Into UK Private Banking Sector

SEI, the US-headquartered investment, outsourcing and technology consulting firm, has appointed Martin Steer, formerly of Cofunds, the platform firm, as commercial director to help grow its UK private banking business.
SEI, the US-headquartered investment, outsourcing and technology consulting firm, has appointed Martin Steer, formerly of platform firm Cofunds, as commercial director to help grow its UK private banking business.
Steer was previously head of commercial finance at Cofunds. In his new role, he will work with managing director Brett Williams to expand SEI’s wealth management offering, the SEI Wealth PlatformSM, in the UK market, SEI said in a statement.
Prior to working at Cofunds, Steer was head of finance at Skandia and finance actuary for Selestia. He started his career working in pensions and life assurance at Aviva.

Martin has considerable experience as well as a strong record of successful strategic development and execution in the platforms space. His appointment is another important step in ensuring we capitalise effectively on the market opportunity as the landscape continues to evolve,” Brett Williams, managing director, SEI Wealth Platform, UK private banking, said.
The SEI Wealth Platform is an outsourcing solution for wealth managers encompassing wealth processing services and wealth management programmes, combined with business process expertise.
