Raymond James Offers Alternative Investments To RIAs

Raymond James is opening up access to its alternative investment platform to RIAs affiliated with its custodial arm, the Investment Advisors Division.

Beginning in September, financial advisors will be able to offer alternative investments to their clients through the Raymond James Alternative Investment Group.

The division provides research, marketing, sales and operational support across a variety of non-traditional strategies, including private equity, private real estate, hedge funds and alternative mutual funds.

Earlier this year, the firm announced more competitive pricing for equity and exchange-traded fund trades and access to educational and practice management resources.

Last month, Raymond James Investment Advisors Division expanded its management team, naming Sean Marrin, Chuck Curtis, Glenn Flego and Christian Williams as regional directors.
