Raymond James Financial Names UK Country Manager

Raymond James Financial has appointed chief executive of Raymond James Investment Services Peter Moores to the role of UK country manager.
Moores retains his position with RJIS and will also oversee all of Raymond James' businesses in the UK, including wealth management and capital markets, the firm said in a statement.
He will also be responsible for the growth and coordination of all UK business units.
Moores joined Raymond James in 2004 as RJIS chief executive-designate in London, before taking over the position in February 2005.
Moores started his career at Chase Manhattan Bank, where he spent 10 years working in New York, London and Frankfurt on the institutional side of the business.
After this he moved to DAB Bank in Munich, where he headed the group development team. In 2002, he was seconded to London to run DAB Bank’s UK retail brokerage business as chief executive.
“With strong growth in the UK in a variety of our businesses, it was clear that the next step was to better coordinate efforts to expose clients to the broad spectrum of services available. Having run our UK wealth management business since 2005 and shepherded the group from joint venture to subsidiary broker/dealer, Peter is the clear choice for this role," said chief executive Paul Reilly.
In a recent interview with this publication, Moores discussed how regulatory changes were providing increased opportunity for the firm. For more on this story, click here.
