Quilter Cheviot Adds Investment Manager

Quilter Cheviot, part of the UK's Old Mutual Wealth, has made a senior hire from Walker Crips.

Quilter Cheviot has appointed Nicholas Hawkins to its 67-strong team of investment managers in London.

Hawkins joins from Walker Crips Stockbrokers, where he spent eight years managing a client base with assets of more than £100 million ($130 million) on a discretionary and advisory basis. He was also responsible for co-managing the Walker Crips Corporate Bond fund and leading the private client department's equity options strategy.

In his new role, Hawkins will be part of executive director Tim Healy’s team, under the overall leadership of Andy McGlone, managing director, London investment management. Hawkins will work with both intermediaries and direct private client introductions to develop new business opportunities.

“He brings with him a fresh perspective and we very much look forward to helping him grow an expansive client base and becoming an invaluable member of the Quilter Cheviot team,” said McGlone.

Quilter Cheviot, which is based in twelve locations across the UK, Jersey and Ireland, had total funds under management of £18.8 billion as at 30 June 2016.
