Old Mutual Asset Management names analyst liaison

Asset manager hopes to educate platform analysts on ways to use its wares. Old Mutual Asset Management has named Carl Giordano as a v.p. in its Investment Services Research group. Reporting to Global Investment Services head Keith McRedmond, Giordano will work with analysts at wirehouses, broker-dealers, banks and RIAs to help intermediaries postition Old Mutual's investment products.

Within and without

"Carl has a keen understanding of investment management and analysis as well as the structuring of a wide variety of investment products," says McRedmond. "We're certain he will be able to leverage his existing relationships within and outside Old Mutual to help maximize our firms' presence on investment platforms across the spectrum of intermediaries looking for high quality investment management capabilities."

Prior to his latest role, Giordano was a regional wholesaler for Old Mutual's separately managed accounts and mutual funds. Before that, he was a wholesaler for Merrill Lynch 's structured products group. -FWR
