Offshore Law Firm Announces New Partner

Ogier, the offshore legal and fiduciary services provider, has promoted Simon Dinning to its partnership.

In his new role Mr Dinning continues to lead the firm’s British Virgin Islands and Cayman legal offerings from London.

Mr Dinning has been a managing associate at Ogier since January 2008, having joined from Harney, Westwood and Riegels.  His practice encompasses cross-border corporate transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and equity capital markets, along with investment funds.

The promotion of Mr Dinning is a further indication of Ogier’s long-term commitment to London, the firm said in a statement.

In October, Ogier opened new offices in Bahrain and Tokyo, adding to its existing offices in the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Ireland, Jersey, London, Montevideo and New Zealand.

The group, which specialises in corporate and finance law along with associated fiduciary services, has some 800 employees around the world.
