Nomura AM Carves Out New UK Role

The firm has snapped up a former UBS Wealth Management alternatives specialist.

Nomura Asset Management has appointed Jon Nash as business development director, a newly-created role.

Nash will be based in London and will report to Robert Woolf, head of business development at the firm.

In his new role, Nash will focus on developing the group’s fund distribution strategy for its product solutions to the UK-and Ireland-based fund managers, private banks, advisors and family offices.

He joined from UBS Wealth Management, where he most recently worked as an alternatives distribution specialist.

In total, he has 26 years’ experience.

“His extensive experience within the asset management industry will be invaluable as we seek to expand the distribution for our funds,” said Woolf. “We are seeing increasing interest in our funds and Jon’s appointment will allow us to develop and grow our business further within these key sectors.”
