New Website Draws Back The Veil On Art Investment

Fine Art Wealth Management, the London-based art investment consultancy, has launched a new website addressing the complexities of investing in this esoteric asset class.

The website - www.fineartwealthmgt.com - aims to shed light on the inherent investment attributes of art and collectables and will provide art investment news, research and information on art investment funds, said Randall White, managing director at the firm and a member of the WealthBriefing editorial board. The site also features a new and improved Art Fund Tracker and an enhanced knowledge library.

Fine Art Wealth Management, which was founded in 2003, provides a number of services to wealth managers and their clients such as consulting on art financing, art succession planning, art investment and portfolio strategy. The firm also advises on the structuring and set-up of bespoke art investment funds and clubs.

Art has become a growing area of interest to investors as well as art-loving collectors. Fine art and other collectables have become a notable feature of the “alternatives” asset management category in recent years, attracting private client investors and prompting firms to set up specialised funds to offer clients a way to tap into this sector. At a time when there have been worries about slow growth and the threat of rising inflation, fine art is seen by some investors as a way of hedging risks.
