New UK CEO Named At AllianceBernstein

The New York-headquartered investment management firm has appointed new leadership in the UK.

AllianceBernstein has hired Jamie Hammond as chief executive for the UK and head of the Europe, Middle East and Africa client group.

In his new London-based role, which is subject to regulatory approval, Hammond replaces Tim Ryan, who left the firm in the spring of last year.

Hammond joins from Franklin Templeton, where he was managing director of Europe, leading its retail and institutional business in the region. He brings more than 30 years of industry experience, having previously served as sales and marketing director for Europe at Fiduciary Trust International.

He will report to Robert Keith, AllianceBernstein's global head of the client group. The firm has 11 offices across the EMEA region, with more than $60 billion on behalf of retail and institutional clients.

“Jamie has a proven track record in leading retail and institutional businesses across Europe and shares AB’s intense focus on providing relevant, client-focused solutions,” said Keith.

“Under his leadership we will continue to innovate and expand our offerings to help investors navigate today’s volatile capital markets and further extend our footprint in this important region for AB.”
