Family Office
New Study Offers Invaluable Operational Insights For UHNW Wealth Managers
This publication has launched its second study on efficiency in accounting and investment analysis in the UHNW space, and we look forward to sharing invaluable benchmarking data and insights with all those taking part.
Family Wealth Report and its sister publications WealthBriefing and WealthBriefingAsia are embarking on an important new study updating the very well received 2018 report, Family Office Focus: Efficiency in Accounting and Investment Analysis. Our global survey aimed at family offices (but also UHNW wealth managers of all kinds) is now open, with all participants to receive an advance copy of the research due out in Q3 – and the chance to win a pair of Bose noise-canceling earbuds for taking part.
Like our original study, our 2022 update will dive deep into the accounting and investment analysis challenges facing those serving UHNW individuals, with particular focus on how technology is helping (or hindering) firms serving clients with complex financial affairs. Very often, of course, this includes clients with multiple legal entities and an asset class mix heavy on alternatives such as private equity and real estate.
Digital assets a new focus
New for this year, we will also be considering the implications
of the rise of cryptocurrencies and coin IPOs as increasingly
mainstream assets. As PKF O’Connor Davies Partner Marc
L Rinaldi highlighted in the 2022 edition of Technology
Traps Wealth Managers Must Avoid, how to best interface
digital assets with the family office is proving to be a real
conundrum – and one that institutions need to get on top of
swiftly if they are to keep pace with changing investment
preferences.
In addition to tackling the potential weaknesses in the technology ecosystems UHNW wealth managers might be laboring under, this report will shed light on what best practices in accounting and investment analysis are in this rapidly shifting landscape. It will also give firms a valuable means of benchmarking themselves against their peer organizations around the world.
To receive your advance copy of our forthcoming report, and have a chance of winning a pair of Bose noise-canceling earbuds, simply take part in our survey.
We would also be delighted to speak to any practitioners about their experiences in this area. Please email wendy.spires@clearviewpublishing.com with any comments, which can of course be anonymous.
