New Head Of Treasury For Kames Capital

The appointment comes after a flurry of hires at the Scottish investment house earlier this year.

Kames Capital has added to its ranks once again with the appointment of Brian Jack as head of treasury.

In this role, Jack will manage the firm’s cash and liquidity team, as well as strengthen its cash management platform, widening product choice and enchancing risk-adjusted returns for clients.

He will be based at the investment house's Edinburgh headquarters and report to Bob Laws, head of investment implementation.

“Brian joins Kames at a very exciting time for our business as we look to strengthen our treasury capabilities in order to support our growing and diversified fund management activities,” Laws said in a statement.

His role amalgamates various responsibilities previously held elsewhere in the firm under the newly-coined position of head of treasury.

Jack formerly led Ignis Asset Management’s cash and securities lending/repo business, as well as serving as an analyst/portfolio manager at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.

Jack’s appointment follows a number made earlier on this year by Kames, including Peter Ball as director of institutional business, Mark Benbow as an investment analyst, and Stephen Adams as head of equities.
