New Asset Management CIO At Swiss Private Bank

Geneva-based Mirabaud & Cie has hired Pierre Pinel to take on the role of chief investment officer for balanced mandates and asset allocation funds in its asset management division, supported by a team of macro and quantitative specialists. He will also be head strategist for private management.

The appointment represents part of a drive to enhance its services in the area of investment, the firm said in a statement.

Pinel started his career with the Swiss banks UBS and Credit Suisse. From 1993, he was at BNP Paribas in the asset management business in various roles.

Mirabaud offers its clients advice and services in private banking, asset management and intermediation (brokerage, corporate finance and debt capital management).

It employs around 600 staff in offices in Switzerland, elsewhere in Europe (London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and Luxembourg) and the rest of the world (Montreal, Hong Kong, Dubai and Perth).
