Net Income Rises Sharply At SEI Investments
SEI Investments, which provides outsourced investment services and consulting, logged a third-quarter profit of $52.7 million, a surge of 53 per cent on the same period a year before.
In a statement issued yesterday, the US firm said revenues were $275.9, a drop on the same quarter of 2008 of 13 per cent.
Within its private banking business segment, the firm logged an operating profit of $9 million, falling by 56 per cent on the same quarter last year.
“All segments realized lower third-quarter 2009 revenues compared to third quarter 2008 primarily due to still-depressed capital markets when compared to year-ago levels,” the report said.
