United Arab Emirates-based National Bank of Abu Dhabi has appointed Faisal Ahmad to the newly-created role of head of investment advisory for private banking UAE.

Ahmad, with more than 15 years’ experience in the financial sector, joins NBAD from Société Générale, where he served as head of investment advisory for the firm’s Middle East and Africa private banking unit.

In his new role, Ahmad will manage the investment strategy of NBAD’s private banking business in the UAE and lead a team of investment advisors offering strategic asset allocation advice to NBAD’s private banking clients.

NBAD, which currently operates in 15 countries, has 122 branches in the UAE.
