Misys Appoints New Sales Director For Asia-Pacific

Misys, the UK-headquartered financial software firm that caters to clients including wealth managers, has appointed Chris Curtis as its new regional sales director for Asia Pacific. He takes over from Craig Bennett.

Based in Singapore, he will oversee new business development and client relationships across the Asia region, Misys said in a statement.

Curtis has worked in the sector for more than 18 years, spending 10 at Oracle’s financial services business. Most recently, he was Oracle’s vice-president of the banking global business team, responsible for the Go-to-Market strategy and sales of the firm’s banking applications.

“We serve more than 500 banks and financial institutions in Asia and have seen significant growth in demand for Misys solutions in the region, particularly in the areas of regulatory compliance and risk management, improving trading operations and lending capabilities,” Frank Brienzi, president and chief sales officer, Misys, said.

Misys operates 17 offices in Asia, including three development centres. Approximately a third of the firm’s new clients signed in the past year are Asia-based, it added.
