Mercer, the global financial services consultancy, has promoted Fiona Dunsire to be its UK market leader and chief executive. In her new role, in which she replaces Alan Whalley who retired in December last year, Dunsire will be responsible for the operation and management of the UK business.

Dunsire, with 24 years experience of consulting in the UK market behind her, was latterly a senior client leader in Mercer’s investment business. Before that, she was a business leader for Mercer’s investment consulting arm in the UK for more than five years.

Additionally, Dunsire has been a member of several leadership teams within Mercer, advising on cross-business collaborations such as workplace savings solutions.
