Mercer has appointed Sue Crosby as partner at its New York investment consulting unit. 

Crosby was previously the head of Merrill Lynch's endowment and foundation relationship management initiative and had served as business development head at investment consulting provider Perella Weinberg. At this new role, she will focus on Mercer's implemented consulting business and provide support for its growing endowment and foundation consulting practice. 

The need for a dedicated executive came up following the recent acquisitions of Hammond Associates in St Louis and Evaluation Associates of Norwalk in Cincinnati. Crosby's hire also complements the recent appointment of Tom Murphy as investment management head for the US.
