Macquarie Private Wealth Bolsters Australian Team With 13 Hires

Macquarie Private Wealth has expanded its Australian team with the appointment of 13 advisors across six state offices.

Macquarie Private Wealth has expanded its Australian team with the appointment of 13 advisors across six state offices.

Six new hires were named for Brisbane, Queensland, including private client advisors Angela Hayward, Tom Maxwell, Mark O'Flynn and Steven Menyweather, and associate advisors Katerina Gagliostro and Wesley Hui. Hayward, Menyweather and Hui previously worked for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, while O'Flynn used to be with Wilson HTM.

In Adelaide, Michael Sanderson joins as senior private wealth manager, while Joel Wright and Tony Gaudry add to the Manly and Canberra teams in the same capacity. Sanderson and Wright are also ex-MSSB employees. Gaurdy moved from Goldman Sachs JBWere.

In New South Wales, the Sydney office brought in Danny Chiu and Simon Vanstone as private client advisors. Chiu was previously the head of margin FX at MF Global. Vanstone was a director at UBS Wealth Management. Frank Zappia and Allie Clarke join the Adelaide and Perth branches, respectively, as associate advisors.
