Lyxor Names Chief Retail, Digital Officer

The Société Générale subsidiary has boosted its digital capabilities with a new role focusing on private banks.

Lyxor Asset Management has appointed Christian Theulot to the newly-created role of chief retail and digital officer.

Theulot previously spent four years at the Amundi Group where he was head of marketing and development for the retail partners and investment solutions business line. He joined the Société Générale group in 2004 and spent seven years as its head of savings products.

Based in Paris, Theulot will be responsible for driving Lyxor's digital transformation. He will also be in charge of enhancing Lyxor's distribution presence, particularly among private banks. He will report to Guilhem Tosi, head of products, solutions and legal and a member of Lyxor's executive board.

“The digital transformation presents many opportunities for asset management, whether for enhancing investor experience or for developing digital tools to optimise management processes,” said Lionel Paquin, chief executive of Lyxor. “Christian Theulot's appointment will allow us to fully seize them, while enhancing our ties to distribution and delivering Lyxor's proven expertise and innovation capabilities to this segment.”

Lyxor, which was founded in 1998, managed and advised $130.7 billion of assets as of the end of March 2016.
