Law Firm Opens Up Shop In Jersey
The firm now provides Jersey legal services in the corporate, finance and investment funds sectors.
Multi-jurisdictional law firm Maples and
Calder has opened its newest office in Jersey in response to
client demand.
The group now provides Jersey legal services in the corporate,
finance and investment funds sectors as well as listing
agent services for the listing of securities on The International
Stock Exchange in the Channel Islands, it said in a
statement.
The office is managed by Jersey advocate Chris Byrne, who has
over 20 years' experience in the areas of corporate, finance and
listing services.
Byrne is joined by partner Simon Hopwood, an investment funds
expert who has almost 20 years' experience specialising in
private equity and real estate funds, as well as partner Paul
Burton, who is experienced in public and private M&A,
corporate/investment structuring, debt financing and capital
markets transactions.
These three hires are supported by associates Anna Cochrane and
Stephanie Edge, along with other lawyers who are due to join the
Jersey team in a few weeks.
Maples and Calder is based in the Cayman Islands. It has offices
in the Caribbean and Channel Islands, Dublin and Singapore, and
in offshore tax havens such as the Cayman Islands, British Virgin
Islands, Dubai and Jersey.
