LLB Implements Avaloq Group-Wide

Liechtensteinische Landesbank has implemented a uniform IT platform based on Avaloq across the group, putting an end to its subsidiaries using disparate banking systems.

Bank Linth, a Swiss subsidiary, had been using Avaloq’s system since 2004 and switched to the joint platform at the start of last year; Vaduz-based Liechtensteinische Landesbank and LLB (Switzerland) followed at the beginning of 2011.

Through the joint operation of Avaloq 3.1 across the three banks the group hopes to take advantage of synergies across its businesses. It was felt that as the group looks to expand both in Liechtenstein and Switzerland that a group-wide, uniform platform would better enable the firm to “to react quickly to new challenges in the international context,” said Dr Kurt Mäder, a member of the group executive management team.

As part of the implementation LLB said it had improved a number of its services, including adding more functions to its LLB iBanking platform for private clients.
