Kleinwort Benson Names Co-Head For Private Investment Office

Kleinwort Benson, the UK private bank, has appointed Claude Cochin de Billy as co-head and managing director of its private investment office.

Kleinwort Benson, the UK private bank, has appointed Claude Cochin de Billy as co-head and managing director of its private investment office.

He will hold the post alongside Paul Kearney, managing director at the bank and be based in London, joining the executive committee. He will focus on building business in continental Europe and expanding corporate advisory work.

The private office provides tailored investment, corporate advisory, reporting and corporate governance services to family offices seeking to improve performance and efficiency.

De Billy previously worked at UBS Wealth Management where he was a senior banker in the Swiss firm’s global family office group. Prior to UBS, he was at Deutsche Private Bank as head of private wealth management in London.

The firm has made a number of senior hires recently, including the addition of Joakim Gasslander as senior private banker, Gemma Woodward as head of charities and Fadi Zaher as head of bonds and currencies.
