Charles Stanley, the UK-based wealth management and stockbroking firm, has appointed Andrew Atkins as head of new fund sales and distribution.

Mr Atkins joins the firm from Lloyd George Asset Management and will be in charge of distributing the entire Charles Stanley fund range, the firm said in a statement.

His responsibilities will include distribution for Matterley, the London-based fund management boutique which was acquired by Charles Stanley in August 2009.

“We welcome Andrew on board at an exciting time for our funds business and look forward to him working with our fund managers to expand this growing part of the group,” said Mike Lilwall, director of Charles Stanley.
