Kames Capital Hires US Equities Fund Manager

Kames Capital, the UK asset management arm of AEGON, has hired Marcus Chandler as a senior portfolio manager to boost its US and overseas equities capabilities.
Before joining Kames, Chandler was a portfolio manager at LV= Asset Management, responsible for US and UK equities, where he also created a US equity income product. Before that, he worked at Credit Suisse Asset Management and bank Sarasin. In his new role at Kames, he reports to the firm's head of North American equities, Ian Cooke.
Piers Hillier, head of overseas equities, said Chandler’s appointment demonstrates the firm’s commitment to strengthening and rebuilding its overseas equity capabilities.
Last month, the firm brought in Claire McGuckin as support manager for Phil Milburn and Melanie Mitchell, managers of the High Yield Bond and High Yield Global Bond funds.
At end June, Kames Capital had £50 billion (about $80.5 billion) in assets under management.
