Kames Capital Hires Senior Asset Manager

The UK-based investment manager has added to its property team.
Kames Capital,
an Edinburgh-and London-based investment management firm, has
appointed Rachel Robinson as a senior asset manager within its
property team in a newly-created role.
Robinson joins from Aviva Investors,
where she was an asset manager in the high street retail and
shopping centre team and was responsible for implementing
strategic retail asset management initiatives.
Prior to Aviva, she was a property manager at Rubicon Retail and
a senior asset manager at Chartwell Land.
In her new role, she will be based in London and will support
Kames Capital's active value strategies and will report to the
firm's head of active value property, Phillip Bach,
who was also recently appointed to his newly-created
role.
Earlier this year, Robinson launched a second edition of Kames
Capital's closed-ended Active Value Property Fund, following an
earlier version that raised £275 million ($344.6
million).
Commenting on the appointment, Bach said: “We believe that there
is considerable opportunity to buy good quality secondary assets
within the £5 million to £15 million price bracket, outside of
the London and certain South East hotspots. Rachel’s appointment
further bolsters our team and her expertise will enhance our
capacity to maximise their performance.”
Kames Capital manages £53.1 billion on behalf of UK and
international clients including pension funds, government
agencies, financial institutions, wealth managers, family offices
and financial advisors.
