The UK investment manager has boosted its domestic sales capabilities.

Kames Capital has hired Yasmine Ellis as business development manager within its UK wholesale distribution team.

Ellis joins the London-based team from Schroders. There, she was part of the business development team since 2009, covering UK multi-managers, private banks, wealth managers, family offices and fund of hedge funds. She joined the firm’s Dubai office in 2009 as a sales executive. Previously, Ellis worked at Gartmore (now Henderson) and Liongate Capital.

In her new role, she will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with UK private banks, financial institutions, fund of funds, discretionary and advisory wealth managers, stockbrokers and family offices in London. She will report to Kames' head of UK regional sales, Mark Savage.

“Yasmine has solid experience in the UK wholesale market and we are confident that the skills and knowledge she brings to the team will allow us to build on our extensive client base,” said Savage. 

Last month, Elena Delfino joined Kames from Neuberger Berman as a business development manager within the European wholesale distribution team.

From Edinburgh and London, Kames managed £57.8 billion ($76.8 billion) of assets as at the end of March 2016.
