Japan, Bahamas Sign DTA

Japan and the Bahamas have signed a double tax convention that includes provisions for the exchange of tax information, reports Tax-News.
The agreement will enable both tax authorities to carry out the effective exchange of information regarding tax matters in accordance with the internationally-agreed standard and also includes provisions aimed at exempting tax at source for some types of personal income, such as that from pensions.
The agreement will enter into force after ratification.
