Janus Capital International Appoints COO, Head Of Europe
The international arm of New York-listed Janus Capital Group has created a new leadership position in Europe.
Janus Capital International has appointed Chris Justice as chief operating officer and head of Europe.
Justice, who joined Janus in 2013, was most recently based in Hong Kong as the firm's head of strategic initiatives for Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He was previously managing director of Quam (Hong Kong), where he led a team of research analysts and asset managers providing portfolio advice to high net worth and retail investors.
In the newly-created role, Justice will be based in London, responsible for leading JCI’s business strategy across the EMEA region. He will continue to report to Augustus Cheh, president of JCI.
“We are delighted that Chris is taking on this EMEA role, marking an important stage of our international growth story,” said Cheh.
“Chris is a key part of our EMEA business strategy at an important time for Janus Capital International, as we build upon a number of strong growth years across both our retail and institutional franchises.”
As of the end of 2015, JCI had $42.4 billion of assets under management, representing 22 per cent of Janus Capital Group's global assets, which totalled $192.3 billion.
