JPMorgan Funds hires RIA-channel sales executive

Lundquist moves over wirehouse channel to lead investment-advisor support. JPMorgan Funds has made Steve Lundquist head of sales and support to RIAs. He had previously been the mutual-fund unit's national sales manager to the five wirehouses.

Prior to Lundquist's latest appointment, Gatch had direct responsibility for outreach to RIAs in addition to his other responsibilities, according to JPMorgan spokeswoman Jacqueline Meere.
Lundquist joined JPMorgan from Fidelity in 2001. Earlier he worked at Fortis Financial (now part of Hartford Financial).
JPMorgan Funds is the U.S. mutual-fund arm of JPMorgan Asset Management, a division of New York-based JPMorgan Chase. JPMorgan Asset Management, JPMorgan Private Client Services and JPMorgan Private Bank managed $1.2 trillion at the end of March 2008. -FWR
