Italian Group To Name New Asset Management Head – Report

Milan-based financial services group UniCredit is to announce a successor to Dario Frigerio, outgoing head of its asset management unit, Pioneer Investments, in the next few days, a company source has told Reuters. Mr Frigerio is leaving for personal reasons, the report said.

"Pioneer as the asset management division of UniCredit stays a strategic business for the group and is not up for sale," the unnamed source said.

Earlier this week UniCredit said in a statement that Mr Frigerio was leaving for new professional opportunities but not till the end of January, to assure a smooth transition.Since joining the group about 21 years ago as a financial analyst, Mr Frigerio has held several positions in asset management and private banking.
