Italian Firm Names Wealth Management Head

The new hire will take on the role from 1 March.
Italian banking group UniCredit has appointed
Marco Bizzozero as head of group wealth management.
Bizzozero will report to Gianni Franco Papa, general manager of
UniCredit, the firm said in a statement.
He has 25 years’ experience in the financial services sector. He
was at Deutsche Bank since 2004, where he was head of wealth
Management for Europe, Middle East and Africa and chief
executive of Deutsche Bank Switzerland for eight years since
2009. Before that, he was global head of private equity
investments.
"Marco’s appointment proves our commitment and ambition to
further develop the wealth management and private banking
business of the group,” said Papa. “Marco Bizzozero's widespread
international experience, proven track record and leadership
skills will be instrumental to further developing and
strengthening our positioning in wealth management and private
banking."
This hire is part of the firm’s long-term plan on growing group
its wealth management and private banking business in Europe,
with a strong focus on Italy, Germany and Austria.
UniCredit has offices based in Italy, Germany, Austria, Bosnia
and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary,
Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia and Turkey.
