Investec Wealth Makes Senior Hire From Brewin Dolphin
The wealth and investment arm of London and Johannesburg-listed Investec has added to its directorship in Scotland.
Investec Wealth & Investment has appointed Cameron Kinnaird from Brewin Dolphin as senior investment director in Glasgow.
Kinnaird was most recently divisional director at Brewin Dolphin, which he joined in 2001. He previously worked at Parsons and Co. He brings 27 years of experience in managing portfolios for private clients and families, as well as managing funds for charitable trusts and self-invested personal pensions.
In the newly created role, Kinnaird will cover the Scottish market. He will report to IW&I's divisional director, Stuart Light.
Kinnaird also sits on the Macmillan Glasgow City committee and on the investment panel of Resilient Scotland, which provides capital to social enterprise businesses.
“He has an exceptional level of experience in managing portfolios. His appointment builds on IW&I’s recent successes in expanding investment teams in Scotland and across several of our UK offices,” said Light.
IW&I had £26.54 billion ($26.54 billion) of client funds under management as of the end of September. The Investec group recently revealed its funds under management took a £2.7 billion dip over the six months to the end of September amid “challenging market conditions”.
