Investec Wealth & Investment Hits A High Note

Investec Wealth & Investment is continuing its sponsorship of Opera Holland Park for a further three years.

Investec Wealth & Investment is continuing its sponsorship of Opera Holland Park for a further three years.

IW&I has been headline sponsor of Opera Holland Park for the past three years, during which time the company has strengthened its reputation for staging top-level operas featuring many international performers.

Running from 3rd June until 9th August 2014, OHP will host five productions in 34 main stage public performances with The City of London Sinfonia accompanying each production in what will be their 11th year as house orchestra.

2014 will also welcome a new venture as Britten opera, The Turn of the Screw, is produced for the first time, conducted by Stuart Bedford - one of the world’s leading Britten conductors. Other performances include La Fanciulla Del West by Giacomo Puccini, Norma by Vincenzo Bellini and a family production, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Will Todd.

The move is part of a growing trend of private banks and wealth managers to raise awareness of their brands through sponsorship. Banks such as BNY Mellon, Credit Suisse, Barclays and Coutts, among others, have been involved in such activities in recent years.

Opera Holland Park was originally established in 1996 to help make opera more accessible to a wider audience than traditional opera venues, by combining an informal approach with artistic integrity.

“We are thrilled to be extending our sponsorship of Opera Holland Park for a further three years.  This has provided to be a highly successful partnership as we share many of the same values, with an appreciation for developing assets and embracing excellence. Opera Holland Park has been tremendously effective in bringing opera to a wider audience and we look forward to continuing to support this goal in order to develop a new generation of fans,” said David Bulteel, executive director of investment management at Investec Wealth & Investment.
