Investec Wealth & Investment Extends Another Sponsorship Deal In UK

The firm has inked a three-year extension of one of its sponsorship deals, highlighting how wealth management houses seek to heighten brand awareness.
Investec Wealth & Investment has renewed sponsorship with Opera
Holland Park for a further three-year period from 1 October,
adding to other sponsorship moves by the wealth manager.
The agreement means IW&I will be the lead sponsor for the
festival for a total of nine years. The move is significant
for Opera Holland Park as the organisation achieved charitable
status last year.
The three-year partnership will cover a period of time when OHP
is also extending its reach; after its residency at The Linbury,
ROH, with Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, this year sees its
first co-production (La Cenerentola, with the Danish National
Opera). Other potential collaborations are being explored for
future years, the organisation said.
The 2016 Investec Opera Holland Park season opened on 7 June,
with Mascagni’s Iris. OHP also just announced its 2017
season.
Late last month, IW&I signed a three-year sponsorship
agreement with Chatsworth House, the stately home in Derbyshire,
England.
Wealth managers of different sizes have used sponsorships of
artistic, sporting and philanthropic events and programmes to
promote their brands. At one end of the scale, UBS, the world’s
largest wealth manager, is a sponsor to Formula One, the motor
racing tournament. At a slightly less noisy level, UK wealth
management house Quilter Cheviot, which is part of the UK's Old
Mutual Wealth, is the headline sponsor for the BBC's new
Countryfile Live show.
