Investec Wealth & Investment Appoints Two New Senior Investment Directors
Investec Wealth & Investment has appointed David Jones and Richard Goodier as senior investment directors, specialising in the high net worth offering at the firm.
Reporting to Jonathan Quick, divisional director and head of IW&I's Manchester office, both Jones and Goodier will join the firm's client team for the north western region of the UK.
Jones and Goodier join IW&I from HSBC, where they were responsible primarily for the expansion of the firm's private banking services.
Jones, with more than 30 years' experience in the financial services sector, specialises in investment and private wealth management. His previous role involved providing comprehensive financial planning to HNW clients as well as small to medium-sized companies.
Goodier, with more than 14 years' experience in the financial industry, previously served at BWD Rensburg - now part of Investec Wealth & Investment - before moving on to HSBC, where he managed a portfolio of mainly entrepreneurial clients, and served as specialist on the northern team's hedge fund.
In other recent news, at the start of this week Investec Wealth & Investment said that it plans to implement a £500 million (around $776 million) move into direct UK commercial property for its discretionary private clients over the next 12 months.
Investec Wealth & Investment has 950 staff located at its 15 offices across the UK. Following the integration of Williams de Broë, IW&I now has over £22.1 billion of client funds under management.
