Investec W&I Names New International Head, London Leadership
The wealth and investment arm of London-listed Investec has appointed its charity head to fill the role vacated by its London office head.
Investec Wealth & Investment has appointed David Bulteel as head of its international division, with Louise Hall succeeding him as head of the London office.
Bulteel joined Investec W&I’s predecessor firm, Carr Sheppard Crosthwaite, back in 2001 and became head of the south eastern offices in 2007. In the newly-created role, he will oversee international client-related activity across the firm, excluding the UK, South Africa and Ireland.
Hall, his successor at the helm of the London operation, joined Investec W&I as a trainee in 1989 and has led the firm’s charities and not-for-profit division since 2004. The firm manages £2.8 billion ($3.6 billion) on behalf of nearly 1,200 charities. Hall will continue to provide investment management and strategic advice to her charity and not-for-profit clients.
“In addition to playing an instrumental role in expanding our charities division, Louise has been a highly regarded member of our senior management team in London for many years and is ideally suited to take over the leadership of our largest office,” said Jonathan Wragg, chief executive at Investec Wealth & Investment.
“My sincere thanks go to David Bulteel for his tremendous contribution to the growth of the London team. I have every confidence that he will bring the same level of success to our international division.”
Investec W&I, which has 15 offices across the UK, had around £27.5 billion of client funds under management as at 31 March 2016.
