International Law Firm To Create 75 Dublin-Based Job Vacancies
International law firm Maples and Calder is strengthening its workforce in Dublin with plans to create an additional 75 vacancies within the next three years.
“International financial services is a key target sector of government as part of our plan for jobs and growth, and the Taoiseach has set the target of creating an additional 10,000 jobs in the sector by 2016,” said Richard Bruton, Ireland's minister for jobs, enterprise and innovation.
The firm said it has noted a growing demand for its international legal services, as well as for its fiduciary and fund administration services provided by its MaplesFS affiliate.
Maples and MaplesFS comprise the Maples Group, which is a client company of government agency IDA Ireland.
The “strength and depth” of industries such as aircraft finance and investment funds in Ireland is a “major attraction” for corporate and financial services firms, added Barry O’Leary, chief investment officer of IDA Ireland.
Maples established an operation in Dublin in 2006. The organisation now employs 175 people across its two divisions.
