Insynergy Appoints Ex-Gartmore Multi-Manager As Consultant

Bambos Hambi, the former head of multi-manager at Gartmore, has joined the London-based boutique Insynergy Investment Management as a consultant, as the firm looks to expand its product range.

Insynergy, which was formed two years ago this month, offers three funds in the form of a global equities fund, a China fund, and an India fund. It outsources the investment of its retail funds to hedge fund and institutional managers.

It is looking to develop the fund range further, although any specific details have yet to be announced, and Hambi will be looking for suitable managers for any new mandate to be awarded to, a spokesperson for the firm told WealthBriefing.

Hambi left his position at Gartmore in May 2008, according to Investment Week.

In other recent news, last month Insynergy appointed Nicola Large as commercial director. She joined from the emerging markets-focused private equity firm Actis, where she was an analyst in the investor development group.
