Highland Capital Names Director

Highland Capital Management has appointed Casey Herren to the newly-created role of director.
Herren has particular experience in corporate and public pension plans, endowments and foundations, sovereign wealth funds, and investment consultancy. Prior to Highland, he was a director at the Houston-based asset management firm Vaughan Nelson Investment Management, and also served as a director at Atlantic Investment Management before that.
In his new role, he will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with institutional investors, including public and corporate pension plans, endowments and foundations, as well as wealth management firms. He will be based in Dallas and will report directly to Clay Shumway, head of business development.
Highland Capital is an investment advisory firm with around $22 billion in assets under management. Its client base covers public pension plans, foundations, corporations, mutual fund investors, governments, and high net worth individuals.
