Hedge Fund Association Adds Wealth Industry Luminary To HNW Advisory Board

The Hedge Fund Association , a not-for-profit group representing the $2.4 trillion industry, has appointed wealth consultant Hannah Shaw Grove to its high net worth advisory board.

Grove is a founder and executive editor of Private Wealth and the author of 10 books on topics including family offices, hedge funds and wealth management, the HFA said in a statement yesterday.

“Hannah brings unparalleled expertise and contacts to the HFA High Net Worth Advisory Board. With her involvement, we will deliver a variety of top-notch programing and educational forums to help hedge funds engage with the private investor community in a deeper and more meaningful way,” said April Rudin, chair of the HFA's HNW advisory board and chief executive of The Rudin Group, a wealth marketing firm. (Rudin is well-known to the editors at Family Wealth Report, having contributed comments on recent key regulatory developments, such as here.)

Together, Rudin and Grove will host the first in a new series of actionable programs designed to help hedge fund managers maximize growth opportunities with HNW investors, the association said.

In the US, the HFA has chapters in the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and on the West Coast. Internationally, the HFA has chapters in Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America and the Cayman Islands. HFA works on behalf of the entire hedge fund industry, including more than 10,000 hedge funds in the US and abroad.
