Hawksmoor Investment Management is bringing in an industry sales and marketing expert for its next stage of growth.

Hawksmoor, the UK investment management firm, has named industry veteran Nick Hodgson as a non-executive board director.

Hodgson, who has been building a portfolio of business interests since May last year, has around 30 years of experience in marketing and sales at asset and wealth management companies.

He was formerly on the investment management board at Smith & Williamson, and prior to his eight-year stint there was a main board director at Framlington. He has also held board-level roles at Rothschild Asset Management and Thornton/Dresdner RCM (now Allianz).

His appointment at Hawkmoor remains subject to regulatory approval.

"Hawksmoor has enjoyed significant growth in recent years and we look forward to Nick’s guidance and leadership as we build our marketing and sales activities for the next stage of Hawksmoor’s development," said John Crowley, chief executive.

The firm has offices in Exeter, London, Taunton, Dorchester and Bury St Edmunds.
