HSBC Private Bank In Switzerland Adds To Domestic, Family Office Teams

The Swiss private bank of HSBC has added members to its family office and domestic groups.

HSBC Private Bank (Suisse) has added to its multi-family office and Swiss domestic teams in Zurich and Geneva, bringing in eight new employees.

In Zurich, the Swiss domestic team has hired Theo Aeschlimann (formerly of UBS) as head of the entrepreneurs and executives desk, and Malcolm Dastur (previously at a family office, name undisclosed) and Yves Tschui (ex-Credit Suisse) as senior relationship managers. The Geneva-based team will also welcome a new senior RM in the coming weeks, it said in a statement yesterday.

“This recruitment underlines the continued importance of the Swiss domestic and family office businesses for HSBC Switzerland,” said Roger Lehmann, business head Switzerland.

Meanwhile, HSBC has recruited Alexander Sabo (ex-Credit Suisse) as market head and Pieter Strobos (Bank Sarasin) and David Veit (from HSBC in the UK) as senior RMs in the family office segment.

Giovanni Miccoli (from Acquila) has been hired as head investment counsellor for the domestic and family office areas.

The bank said selective hiring for its operations will continue.
