HSBC Names AsiaPac Head Of Alternatives Sales

Glenn Kennedy joins from Citigroup where he worked as a director for Citi Fund Services (Asia) for four years.

HSBC Securities Services has appointed Glenn Kennedy as regional head of sales and relationship management for the Asia-Pacific alternatives and client management division.

Kennedy joins the firm from Citi Fund Services (Asia) where served as director for the last four years. Before that, he was global head of legal in Dublin and then moved to Asia in 2006 as part of the company's expansion in the region.

In this new Hong Kong-based role, Glenn Kennedy will be responsible for the development of both new and current client relationships, particularly in the areas of private equity and hedge funds. 

He joins from Citigroup where he worked as a director for Citi Fund Services (Asia) for four years.

The move comes shortly after HSS established a global client management unit in fast-growing region. In late September, the company announced that Dan Massey has been promoted as head of the client management group Asia-Pacific, from being the global head of business development for Southeast Asia. 

HSBC Securities Services provides fund administration, custody and related securities services. It has some 200 clients in the alternatives sector worldwide, 500 of whom are in the Asia-Pacific region.
