German Private Bank To Add 25 In London

Hamburg-based Berenberg Bank, Germany’s oldest private bank, may recruit up to 25 bankers in London, according to a media report confirmed by the bank to this publication.

This comes after the firm last week reported an increase in net profits and assets under management for the first half of this year (more here), when net profits increased from €29 million ($36.7 million) to €32.9 million year-on-year.

It currently has 75 staff in London, who work in capital markets, research and strategic advisory. Overall, the bank has 929 staff.
