Frontier Markets Boutique Hires Marketing Head For International Campaign

London-based Insparo Asset Management has appointed Glenda Levin as head of marketing, charging her with spearheading a marketing drive targeting international investors, which will focus on the US in particular.

Levin previously spent eight years at Pioneer Alternative Investments as head of equity strategy for fund of funds. She has also served as director of UBS’s corporate advisory group and as a UK mid-cap senior portfolio manager at Equitable Life.

While Levin’s main responsibility in her new role will be expanding the firm’s investor base in the UK, Europe and internationally, she will also be instrumental in the design and marketing of new Insparo investment products, the firm said in a statement.

Insparo, which was launched in 2007, specializes in investing in frontier markets like Sub-Saharan Africa. After a relatively volatile 2011, Insparo is now pushing frontier markets’ alpha-generating potential and their promise of a differentiated return stream for investors.
